Bruce Willis' Cameo Came From Losing a Bet to Matthew Perry

Action star Bruce Willis played the role of Paul Stevens in Season 6 of Friends . It's hard to imagine the show without his hilarious character, but Willis actually only appeared on the sitcom because he lost a bet. In his 2022 memoir titled Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing , he revealed that losing a bet with his close friend, the late Matthew Perry, led to his cameo appearance. Despite only taking the role because of losing a bet, he earned himself a 2000 Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series!
