These Restaurants Served Food in Unusual Ways, and Diners Weren't Loving It

Eating your food off something that looks like an animal is hardly a valid or excusable idea, but that didn’t stop one daring restaurant from trying it. Out of all the animals they could’ve chosen, they decided to serve their white chocolate dessert in a ceramic iguana. The kicker? The iguana looks freakishly real. You can barely tell it’s ceramic, which makes the whole experience even more unsettling

Why would anyone want to eat dessert out of something that looks like it could crawl away? To make matters worse, the design seems to suggest the iguana is pregnant, and the customer is meant to eat her eggs. How appetizing is that? It’s hard to decide what’s more off-putting—the lifelike appearance or the bizarre concept. While the chef might’ve aimed for creativity, this idea crosses the line into downright creepy. Who considered this a smart concept? It’s safe to say this dessert presentation is more shocking than satisfying.
